Bank OZK Welcomes Gordon Chang as Director of Machine Learning and Product Innovation

We’re excited to welcome Gordon Chang as Director of Machine Learning and Product Innovation at OZK Labs. In his new role, Gordon will lead AI and machine learning strategy, leveraging data and the development of algorithms to create unparalleled customer experiences.

Gordon previously served as the Product Manager for Bing Ads Platform, AI and Research Group at Microsoft.

OZK Labs functions as a full-fledged financial technology laboratory within Bank OZK and has been named one of the 20 best FinTechs to work for by American Banker. Gordon will help scale the team with multiple ML initiatives across the board – from providing our customers a broad array of AI powered banking products to helping our employees with business insights that increase efficiency and quality of service.

Gordon’s hiring marks a significant expansion of the OZK Labs team – his expertise in machine learning and product innovation will accelerate our evolution of retail banking products and services.

We’re also pleased to announce a partnership between OZK Labs and Google, which focuses on the deployment of three Google APIs (Places, Geofencing, and Nearby) to enhance machine learning in technology currently under development.
