Bank OZK Volunteers Support Fort Smith Marathon Through Cold And Rain

Arkansas River Valley Division President Don Keesee led a Bank OZK team to support the Fort Smith Marathon.

This was the fifth year of Bank OZK’s involvement with the event. According to Don, “the weather has been cold and rainy since the first year.” This year, there was sleet and snow. “But on a strictly volunteer basis, we showed up anyway.”

“Next year we’re hoping to have people run, maybe even relay!” Don added.

There was plenty of fun to be had, but everyone was supporting a great cause: FORT—Friends of Recreational Trails. They’re dedicated to improving the “quality of space” of resources like trails and bike ways around Fort Smith.

We’re a community bank. We cheer our neighbors on as they race to the finish line, and clean up our favorite hiking paths for future generations. We look for ways to pitch in, and to keep our environment friendly and clean!
