Chairman and CEO George Gleason, Real Estate Specialties Group (RESG) President and Chief Operating Officer Brannon Hamblen, and RESG Managing Directors of Originations Richard Smith and Greg Newman are the honorees on the 2020 list.

“We’re in a great position as a bank,” George Gleason shared with Commercial Observer. “It’s a great time – in an economy like this – to be the best capitalized out of the 100 top banks. We do business with a lot of the top real estate developers in the U.S., so we need substantial capital capacity to serve our customers.”

RESG is recognized as the nation’s preeminent, market-leading commercial real estate construction lender, serving top-tier borrowers and marquee properties in prime locations across the U.S.

Our RESG team finances projects that drive economic growth for communities across the country. We’re proud of the role our team members play in economic development, creating jobs and invigorating communities. We congratulate them for their recognition by Commercial Observer as leaders in the industry.

Bank OZK is the #1 capitalized bank among the nation’s top 100 U.S. publicly traded banks based on asset size and Tier 1 Leverage Capital Ratio as of March 31, 2020, according to data obtained from S&P Global Market Intelligence.
